Participate in cleaning industry associations nationally and locally to enhance your presence.

Nearly every major profession in the US has at least one national association. Many are surprised to learn that the cleaning industry has several because the profession is so large and pervasive in every area of our lives.

Affiliating with one or more national trade association helps to validate your business to your customers in several ways:

  1. national associations are perceived as authorities, standard-setters, so when you are a member, your customers recognize you and your business as following industry standards. When you’re approaching customers new to the idea of cleaning in their life or business, that can help you to break the ice about the quality of your services.
  2. national associations often present business and technical education opportunities on a regular basis; participating and sharing that activity with your clients helps you to show clients that you are always working to improve the great service you already deliver to them.
  3. national associations often offer awards and certifications, which help to separate your business from others in your market.
