Common Cold Bacteria Live Longer than We Think

Two of the most common cold-causing bacteria are now known to live far longer outside the body than previously believed.

Research published by the University at Buffalo indicates two common bacteria, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Streptococcus pyogenes, may have more staying power than previous studies have shown. For cleaning companies, this may mean reviewing and revising the communication process with clients to ascertain recent illness and the associated changes in cleaning needs.
