This talk was given by Renee O’Brien. She helps companies who want to be more efficient and make more money. At the beginning of her talk, Renee talked about how your company might be affected by covid-19. Be it struggling with work, retaining workers, or hiring new ones.
You might have done what you can and waited out the storm. Renee asks now, how is your business doing? To get the answer to this question, Renee asks three more. What should we measure, What do the numbers mean, and find how am I doing?
Renee says to get out of the stagnation that this year has caused, a business needs momentum. In order to do this, you have to make the smartest moves possible in your business without doing things that SEEM helpful. She says you should spend your energy on actual helpful actions.
After this, she went on to talk about KPI’s or Key Performance Indicators, which are measurable values that demonstrate how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. Renee goes into detail as to why KPI’s work. Essentially, it boiled down to a few reasons such as Decision making, real progress, analyzing patterns, communicating vision, swift action, and endorphin levels. You can watch her video to see what all this means!
She also goes into detail as to why KPI’s may not have worked for you before, and how you can change the outcome.
However, she insists there are five essential KPI categories that you will need for your quarterly snapshot. These categories fall into Staff Attraction & Retention, Sales, Profitability, Client Satisfaction, and Cashflow. With all of these categories, Renee says you can tell how your business is doing overall.
Towards the end of her talk, Renee shows us a graphic in which you can tell for yourself how your business is doing. In order to see everything, click the link below and watch it for yourself!
