In 2014, Trenton, NJ and the surrounding towns of Mercer and Princeton, among others, hosted the Special Olympics USA Games. And one organization, The ARC Mercer, takes special pride in further empowering Americans with special needs by helping them find productive and respectable work in the cleaning and janitorial industry.

Particularly for people with sensory triggers, the after hours and night work is especially desirable because there are fewer distractions or triggers for anxiety, so the technicians can complete assignments and be proud of their work.

In fact, New Jersey law requires that 3% of all contracted services by the state government has to be completed by persons with special needs. Annually, this law sustains around 3000 jobs designed for persons with special needs.
