As of October 21, 2013, a change to the Unemployment Insurance Integrity Act of 2011 could penalize companies who show a pattern of not responding to agency information requests in a timely manner. The Act also lends weight to state laws that punish employers for a one-time late or inadequate response to an agency request for info.
