Active versus Passive Time Management for the Cleaning Business Owner
Practice time management – don’t just talk about it – in this 1-hour workshop at the 2015 ARCSI Convention.
My talk at the 2015 ARCSI Convention in Las Vegas is listed as a “class” or “presentation,” but in my version of this time we’ll spend together, we’re not just going to sit around with paper and pens. After all, that’s not good time management, right? I’m going to assume that you already know the basics of time management:
get everything on a list
prioritize that list
work from top to bottom
stay on track
don’t multi-task, etc.
So then why come to this workshop? Because DOING these things is a lot harder than just KNOWING WHAT to do.
HOW do you prioritize?
How do you decide what is the most important when it’s ALL important?
How do you make these decisions and what if you’re wrong?
These are just a few of the questions we’ll be tackling. And you’ll be doing the work – not just listening to me or even just talking about doing the work. Check out this clip from the last time I did a class in Las Vegas:
DON’T come to this workshop if you want to sit still and not participate – it’s not for you! We will be actively moving around the room, making things happen. You will be managing time using actual situations. You will learn how to prioritize by doing. You will make mistakes, and you will learn how and why to keep them from happening again.
There will be one messy experiment that I’m going to need a little help with. Sometimes it takes a little bit of a paradigm shift to get us to really be able to figure out how to do these things in real life.
