ARCSI is now accepting applications for its annual individual and company awards and for the HEART scholarship for convention.
[EasyDNNnewsToken:Left Justify Embed 300 x 250]One of most sensational announcements a cleaning company make about itself is that it is an Award-Winning company. Not only is it a great selling point for potential customers, but it is a mark of distinction among your network peers – other business owners.

So it is with great anticipation that I announce that we are now accepting applications for our 2014 Awards program.  The Association will present the awards at the President’s Reception and Awards on November 6th during our Annual Convention and Education Conference in Orlando, FL.

Individual and Company Awards
ARCSI will present the Professional Cleaner of the Year to the top cleaning technician of an ARCSI member company.  The ARCSI Presidents Award will be presented to a key office staff person of a member company.

In addition, the Association will present five “Image Awards” for Best Logo, Best Uniform, Best Marketing Tool, Best Website and Best Vehicle Graphics at the event. Your tools and campaigns do not need to be new this year to be eligible for the award.

Petra Huppert HEART Scholarship
For the second year, ARCSI will also be awarding the Petra Huppert HEART Scholarship in honor of long-time ARCSI member Petra Huppert. The scholarship recipient receives convention registration, four nights hotel room at the convention, and a $200 stipend.

Petra Huppert, owner of The Home Cleaning Pro in Anchorage, Alaska, was a charter member of ARCSI, having joined in September of 2004.  Despite the distance, she was a fixture at ARCSI Conventions and Leadership Conferences.  Not only was she a strong supporter of ARCSI and committed to attending ARCSI events, but she was also committed to learning and to improving her business.

At her last ARCSI event before her death, Petra reached out to a new member who was attending her first ARCSI event.  This new member lived over an hour from the event and had planned to drive back and forth each day.  Petra not only offered to share her hotel room, but helped the new member get the most from the conference.  After the event, Petra continued to follow up, sent the new member materials to help her business, and helped her over the rough spots that everyone faces in their first few years of business.

The HEART Scholarship honors Petra by helping a young ARCSI member business owner afford to attend the annual convention. Candidates will submit an application and essay by August 6th addressing how he/she believes attending the ARCSI convention will help improve and grow his/her business.

The awards and scholarship applications are available on the ARCSI website, or you can request on from the ARCSI office by calling 614-547-0887.  The deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
