Professional Image Awards to be celebrated at annual Cleaning Convention in Chicago this October
August 16, 2016 – COLUMBUS, OH – Over 200 professionals in the residential cleaning services industry will gather in Chicago, from October 24-28 to convene their Annual Education Conference and Cleaning Convention through the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI).
ARCSI President Jeff Lange, owner of McMaid Home Services, is pleased to represent his home city as he welcomes residential cleaning company owners to Chicago. “Our annual Cleaning Convention is a great opportunity for residential cleaning company owners to gather for education, networking and sharing,” Lange said. “Chicago has such a rich history and as an international hub for finance, commerce, and more, it makes the perfect venue for this event.”
At the Convention, ARCSI will also celebrate its annual Professional Image Awards. Ashley Boyd of Deserved Comfort Housekeeping, LLC, in Columbia, South Carolina, was named the 2016 PerfectClean Professional Cleaner of the Year. The PerfectClean Professional Cleaner of the Year Award recognizes one cleaning technician internationally that represents excellence, professionalism and integrity in the profession.
Marlo Kanipe, owner of Deserved Comfort Housekeeping, proudly nominated Boyd for the award, saying, “Ashley is such a loyal, reliable and professional technician.” Boyd earned the House Cleaning Technician (HCT) certification in March 2016. Cleaners completing the HCT course and pass the certification examination are certified professionals who understand the value and methodology of proper cleaning.
Cristina Castro, of Town & Country Cleaning Services of Pittsboro, North Carolina, will receive the 2016 President’s Award. The President’s Award recognizes one cleaning company internal staff person that represents excellence, professionalism and integrity in the profession. Bruce and Sarah Vance, owners of Town & Country, said that upon hiring Castro, “She quickly made herself invaluable and showed her leadership abilities.”
ARCSI’s Cleaning Convention is held in conjunction with the ISSA Interclean, which brings together five co‐located events, 700‐plus global suppliers, and 16,000 industry leaders from 78 countries.
