Workers allege Handy violated wage and hour laws
The National Labor Relations Board has filed a complaint against the on-demand maid service Handy, charging that the company’s workers are employees and not independent contractors. The company may settle with employees, as Uber and Lyft have done, or the case could eventually end up in federal court.
