IAC makes a purchase offer to Angie’s List which would combine the reviews platform with HomeAdvisor.
On November 11, 2015, Angie’s List (Nasdaq: ANGI) confirmed in a press release that IAC/InterActiveCorp, owner of competing lead generation and review site HomeAdvisor, had submitted a purchase proposal in October.
Initially, Angie’s List did not show any interest in being acquired but have since retained legal and finance counsel to guide them through dialogue with IAC.
If successful, the proposed cash buy out could be in the neighborhood of $500 million.
