From professional golfer to head of sales, Parker Moore’s commitment and service to the BSC industry is indeed distinguished.
Walter L. Cook Award for Distinguished Service
Winner: Parker Moore, CBSE, IH Services, Inc.

This award is presented to a BSCAI member who has made outstanding contributions in furthering the programs and image of the Association and the building service contracting industry. Current members of the Board of Directors are not eligible to receive this award.

Parker grew up in Laurens, South Carolina and attended Clemson University where he majored in Administrative Management. While at Clemson, Parker played on the golf team where he won the South Carolina Amateur, ACC Championship and was runner-up in the U.S. Amateur. Parker was honored to be inducted into the Clemson Sports Hall of Fame in 1992. After graduation, Parker played golf on the PGA Tour, European Tour,, competed in the Masters and the U.S. Open. Later, Parker was a Club Professional in Evansville, Indiana and Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Parker joined IH Services in Greenville, South Carolina in 1987 as a Salesman, and later advanced to his role as Vice President of Sales. After joining BSCAI inthe late 90s, Parker attained his CBSE Certification in 2003 and has been active in the organization as a committee member and presenter at peer-to-peer education sessions and roundtable discussions. As a committee member, Parker was instrumental in updating the certification and testing materials for both the CBSE and RBSM Certifications.

Parker and his wife, Vaughan, have four children and live in Laurens where he is active in his church and is Chairman of the Laurens Commission of Public Works.
