Pick Derek Christian’s brain during his annual tour of ISSA/INTERCLEAN vendor booths.

When: Wednesday, October 26, 2001 at 1PM

Where: Starts at the CBT Booth #1375

Duration: About a half-hour

The ISSA/INTERCLEAN show floor is the most comprehensive collection of cleaning product and tool manufacturers in the world. If you talked to every vendor, you could spend the entire time the show floor is open just walking and talking. Go through all that, then add on jet lag at the end of the week and you’ll look like one of The Walking Dead. Cleaning Business Today has an alternative that we think you’ll like. Each year publisher Derek Christian leads a group on a time-saving walking tour. With the trade show being so close to Halloween this year, we’re calling it the Walking Dead Show Floor Tour.

Derek Christian has been attending the ISSA trade show for over 20 years. For the first 13 years, he attended as a vendor when he worked for Procter & Gamble. For the last 9 years he went as a cleaning business owner. There is a plan to the show floor. Vendors are laid out so that similar kinds of product vendors and service providers are clustered in the same general areas. Derek is going to show you where the vendors are that make the most sense for our industry: companies such as ProTeam, Bona, Clorox, P&G, Lambskin, and Libman. Derek will share tips like how to get free dilution equipment so you can buy products as a concentrate to save money on shipping water. Derek will also share the secret on how to get as many free samples as you can carry to take home at the end of the show.

The tour starts at 1 PM Wednesday at the Cleaning Business Today booth (#1375), which is next door to Cleaning for a Reason and two booths away from ARCSI. There’s no need to stumble around like a zombie searching for it. Here’s a handy link to the convention floorplan. Snarling at or eating other attendees is highly discouraged.
